A quick guide to the benefits of purchasing a portable DVD player- brought to you by Moneysupermarket.com, the price comparison website.

While many laptop computers also have built-in DVD drives, a dedicated portable DVD player tends to be smaller and lighter and offers a longer battery life and more playback options. It is worthwhile investing in a portable DVD player rather than just using a laptop which has not been designed specifically for the task at hand. Lots of models also come with portable mounting kits making them easy to install in the back of cars etc- a good way to keep children entertained!
The cost of portable DVD players has significantly reduced in recent years as more manufacturers have created models and the market has become more competitive. The size of a portable DVD player is also worth considering - they can be as small as a thin hard back novel- making them extremely easy to slip into a travel bag. As they are also commonly very light in weight which means they will not take up precious kilogram allowance at the airport either. Lastly, it is important that the DVD player you choose is user friendly for everybody you intend to let use it. If it is too complex it will probably be kept in the box and never used! Choosing a multi region DVD player is a good idea if you can afford one. Multi region portable DVD players are also readily available and prices can be compared by visiting Moneysupermarket. |
